GRAFT is a magazine on materials written by lateral thinkers. By bridging information between researchers, producers and creative professionals Graft Magazine encourages lateral thinking. Each issue will be distributed locally with a cooperating magazine. Consistent with the idea of cross-disciplinary thinking this hosting media partner will differ with every new edition of GRAFT.
The current issue "Graft on FRUIT" with contributions by Vasco Mourao, Martin Krammer, Maria Morais and Brazilian artist Marepe is presented in cooperation with Brownbook magazine. Read more

He’s considered one of Pakistan’s most important artists. Imran Qureshi, presented at this year´s Tefaf, will have a large solo exhibition at the “Deutsche Bank KunstHalle” in spring of 2013. The KunstHalle will also open with this show. Qureshi’s unique work has radically renewed the centuries-old tradition of miniature painting while addressing highly relevant social themes.

"ENERGY GENERATING PICTURES" ON VIEW AT HEIDELBERGER KUNSTVEREIN
The electricity producing images and sculptures of Heike Klussmann & Bau Kunst Erfinden/ Thorsten Klooster are part of the exhibition >AMATEURISM< at the Heidelberger Kunstverein, Germany. The work is based on the joint research project DYSCrete of TASK and BKE on dye-sensitized solar cells and solar active concrete.diyscrete_3

The Heidelberger Kunstverein presents AMATEURISM an international group exhibition with participation of fourteen artists. The exhibition examines the phenomenon of amateurism in contemporary art, in which artists go beyond the boundaries of existing categories, disciplines, and institutions, navigated by their curiosity.

BLINGCRETE RECEIVES IF MATERIAL DESIGN GOLD AWARD 2012

The Munich Creative Business Week (MCBW) provided the backdrop for the presentation of the iF awards at BMW Welt in Munich, held on February10, 2012. BlingCrete received one of the coveted iF gold awards for highly innovative material development and outstanding design achievements. The winning entries of the internationally renowned design competition are also on show at the iF gold award exhibition at the BMW Museum (February 11-26, 2012) and will also be presented at the iF design exhibitions, including shows at the CeBIT (March 6-10, 2012), at Hamburg's Harbour City (second half of 2012) and in Haikou (Hainan Island/China, from May 2012 onwards)
